The Ms. Senior Michigan Pageant is Michigan’s first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the “Age of Elegance.” It is a search for the gracious lady who best exemplifies the dignity, maturity and inner beauty of all Michigan senior citizens.
Ms. Senior Michigan is a non-profit organization.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF A NEW BOARD
Fran Maiers, President/CEO
Fran has served in Non-Profit organizations for many years, including her own Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization, “The Muttsy Mission for Alzherimer’s,” created in 1997 in honor of her mother. She was chosen Ms. Senior Michigan in 2008 and has served as Director of The Pageant Committee for the past six years until her appointment as President of the Board of Directors.
Fran brings a lifetime of experience in the business world, holding a broad range of positions from Telephone Switchboard Operator (yes the old fashioned plug-in type) to Vice President of the Nation’s first Prescription Drug PPO Plan for employers, including Ford and Chrysler. Unheard of in today’s business environment, Fran literally went straight from her high school “Home Room,” to the, “Board Room,” spanning some 50 years.
Francine Hachem, Executive Director
Francine Hachem started her acting career in 2nd grade playing Turkey Lurkey in, “Chicken Little.” Receiving her Master Certification from Will-O-Way Apprentice Theatre under the teachings of Celia Merrill Turner, she created West End Productions and performed theatre in Detroit and Ann Arbor. She is currently Theatre Director at OPC and has directed Ms. Senior Michigan Pageant for the past 15 years. Francine organizes Salon Sunday Cabaret shows in Royal Oak with buddy Jay Kaplan. She lives in Ferndale where she holds a board position on the Ferndale Arts Commission, the Downtown Development Authority and teaches a youth theatre summer camp.
Linda Sisco, Chair, Governance Committee
Linda has spent 35 + years in property management from On-site manager to Vice President of Operations at 2 Property Management companies. Linda has worked for the past five years as a Housing Administrator for Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (the best job in the world). Linda and her husband William speak nationally and internationally about Positive Aging and spreading the word that seniors can do anything! Linda is the current Ms. Senior Michigan and is enjoying her reign with numerous personal appearances and events.
